ABOUT ME
I hold a Ph.D in health psychology with an emphasis on how culture affects behavior. My research focus is mainly around stress and trauma. Additionally, I have worked in the counter-trafficking sector for nearly 15 years. I have had the honor of speaking, presenting, and addressing audiences and groups around the world on issues of justice, reintegration, and cultural understanding surrounding trauma, healing, and resiliency. From academic or social justice conferences in Uganda and the US to anti-trafficking events in the Hague and Thailand, I love connecting to new groups in a mutually beneficial way.
I currently live with my family in the foothills of Tennessee. I love being outside with my four young children and always have at least six books I’m in the middle of reading.
